A VERY FRUITFUL EVENING OF FISHING

Sunday evening we decided to go out fishing on our lake - it has only been fished 2 times this year - once with Rick and he caught a pickerel and then when Troy was here for the afternoon. Troy did very well and so did we - we got 9 in total with 2 being small pickerel. But the rest were big bass!!! We put them right back into the lake for the next person to enjoy catching but boy was it fun. The one that I got at the far end of the lake gave me an excellent fight. It took a few minutes to get him in and he jumped!! It is the one in my picture - he was greener than the rest and he had the black stripes down his back - the others were more of a brownish color - it must be because he is feeding on something different. We have decided not to fish the lake for a few days and let the tourist catch the big ones. I remember a few years ago the kids were fishing with their toy dinosaur rods - I switched their fake lures with real ones and they caught the bass on their toy rods - they had a riot!!!

Rejean is out today with Ron and the guys stocking lakes in the area with trout and pickerel. And the hall is back in action!! Phyllis called yesterday and there is a chicken and fish fry on July 18th so if you are in the area....

I have to get back to work now - I am cleaning Stacey and Andrew's place for their arrival this weekend. Rick and Joan and Sierra and her sister are coming up on Monday so another full week.

Tis the season...

See Ya Bye

  1. Does Ron get involved in the Walleye hatch pens on Tunnel near the highway?

  2. Yes, he does. He monitors the hatch in the spring and is very involved in the stocking and netting of the area lakes. He is very good.
