Just back from our trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, where we stayed at the Couples San Souci. It was our second trip to the same resort and not our last for sure. We enjoy the grounds, people and weather during our trip and it certainly breaks up our long winters. Every Tuesday they have a beach party where all the tables and buffet are set up on the beach and after dinner we are treated to the entertainment. One Tuesday they had a snake charmer and steel drum band and the next Tuesday there was a fire eater plus the steel drum band. And every Friday they set up all the tables and buffet on the front lawn - which is right outside our room. It is great - the food is amazing and the service is superb. And on Wednesdays there is a Repeater's Dinner where all the couples who have been there before are invited to a special dinner by the main pool. Lobster tails and beef kabobs plus soup, salad and desert are served. At this dinner there were 78 couples which meant that there were more repeaters at the resort than were first timers. There are only 150 rooms which mean only 300 guests when it is full and over 300 staff members. One couple had been there 19 times!!! The majority have been here more than 5 times. Once you have stayed there, you will be back as well.
