With the milder temperatures we have been having, the snow on the roof has started slowly slipping down. The first photo shows the snow hanging off the roof in front of my kitchen window by about 3 feet. It finally fell off last nite and even tho I was expecting it, it still scared the shit out of me. It shook the whole house and the roar was amazing. It sheared off a few trees in the back but at least we don't have to clear it. The snow on the front of the house fell during the night and it too scared me. It again shook the house. This morning we noticed the snow hadn't slipped off the second roof but the majority had stayed on the second roof. We had to shovel it off again this morning.
The snow hasn't moved on the garage roof. When that falls, it usually blocks the driveway and it too has to be cleared by the tractor.
