JOY RIDE ON TUNNEL IN A PONTOON
Last week, Roger invited us on his pontoon for a tour of Tunnel Lake - of course we said yes!!! Here's Joanne and I getting snuggly with John on the chaise at the back of the boat. I think John is smiling a bit too much...

NICE DECK
This was the deck where everyone sat - it was shady and cooler than down by the beach area. The trees are red pines - very tall and straight. Very comfortable.
FAMILY REUNION
It doesn't happen very often because everyone lives in different areas, but once in a while everyone gets together. It happened last weekend at Pierre's new place. It was also an opportunity to see Pierre's final home. And it's a beauty. He has worked very hard all these years and he finally found his "Dream Home" on the water. He still has a few tweaks to do but not much. He started out with a little house in Riverside and ended up in Barry's Bay.
What a cute little town - the shopping is amazing - all little touristy shops - I picked up a few things for the Sisters when we go to Florida. And he fed us very well. First nite hamburgers and hotdogs with pasta salad, the second nite ribs and chicken - and pasta salad and the final nite lasagna - and pasta salad. He made 2 big bowls of pasta salad. And I bet he is still eating it.
A great time was had by all and we hated to leave - but life goes on...
...from the left back row...Rick, Pierre, Rejean and Michael and in the front row... Lise, Claire and Anne. Notice the Happy Face balloon just snuck his face in there too.
Nice picture.

BACK FROM VACATION
Yes, even tho I live in paradise, I still need a vacation and I just got back from mine today. We went to Barry's Bay for a family reunion at Pierre's. There was 15 of us and 13 of us stayed at the cottage. We were everywhere!! But I had called ahead a had dibs on a bedroom - the best one as far as I was concerned - overlooking the lake. He does have a beautiful spot. 43 acres of tall red pines and a park like setting. A great lake that has a variety of fish (and beaver) in it. Of course I took my fishing rod to check out the fishing. There was perch, small mouth bass, rock bass and pumpkinseeds - first time I have ever seen one - pretty little fish. I will have pictures tomorrow. I have to put away all my purchases from Costco in Sudbury - $652!!!!!!! But I guessed over $600 so I wasn't too shocked...much.
AND when I got home there was a message on my machine that my sister Susan, had won $500 in the Lion's Club draw over the weekend in Thessalon!!!!! She says that she will buy the breakfasts and dinners in Florida for the Sisters but I want her to spend it on herself - we'll see who wins...

EASY RIDERS
This was us getting ready to go on one of our extended quad rides - we tried to go down the colony road but there were a lot of trees down from the storm a couple of weeks ago so we ended up just grazing on a big patch of raspberries we encountered.
Susan left this morning and Joanne and Mitch will leave on Saturday. We have so much fun together it is sad to see them go but come November, the sisters will be off to Florida for another adventure. Can't wait!!!
