DINNER A LA SPACEY

Spacey cooked dinner tonite and it was very entertaining as well as delicious.
We were very fortunate to be able to visit with both Jodie and Stacey and families in the same week. That doesn't happen as often as we would like nowadays so we savoured every moment.
Family is everything!

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A FEW DAYS MAKE

Just a few days ago we were on top of a sand dune and today we were snow shoeing on a frozen lake.  

EXTENDED VACATION

Well looks like we get to stay in Toronto over nite as our flight to the Sault was cancelled due to the weather and we didn't feel like spending the day at the airport in case we could get on another flight being jet lagged and all. We are settled in at a great hotel near the airport and hopefully we will make it home tomorrow!

WINDING DOWN

Just 2 1/2 hours til we head to Dubai to catch our flight at midnight. We are trying to pack a lot of fun into our remaining hours with everyone. Charlie is ready for his nap after trying on their new hats and playing with the Magnablocks. Hard to believe our two weeks is coming to an end but the summer will be here soon and we will see everyone again when they come to Canada. We have made a promise to come to visit every year but maybe one year meet everyone in the middle - maybe Iceland or Newfoundland. That would work for me!!!

NEW ART STATION

Jodie had a project for Rejean to do while we were here. A new art station for the boys to colour or paint or draw on. The building supply choices are limited here but I think they both did a pretty good job. Jodie told her dad what she wanted and he built it for her and the boys love it. We got a cart at IKEA to hold all the pencils and paints and art supplies so that the kids can just go and draw when they feel like it.
I have a funny feeling Jodie's walls are going to look very colourful I. The next little while...
I will be coming home with some original art work for my new IKEA frames.
Had to believe our time here is almost over. We head home tomorrow at midnight UAE time. The flight home is 14 hours!!!! Talk about jet lag!! But we have Stacey and Andrew visiting up north so we get to see them too. What a great vacation!!!!
