Here's a picture of Susan (in the foreground) and Joanne (in the background) on their 4 wheelers down at the river last summer. Note the fishing boxes on the front of Susan's and the back of Joanne's, that Rejean made for us - we were off fishing that day.
Oh the fun we had...

SISTERS!!
This picture was taken on a previous trip (they aren't up here yet but just wait until July) - We came across the big chair just outside of Thessalon and we couldn't resist. We had fun positioning the camera on the car to get everything and everyone in the frame.
Girls just want to have fun you know!!
THE 'BEFORE' OF BILL'S BOAT
This is a picture of what Bill's Boat looked like before the transformation - I always knew it had it in him - I am referring to the boat in a "male" term instead of a "female" term - boats are always referred to as "she" but this is a "he" in Bill's honor.
SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME
In case you are wondering, I am sitting at the computer looking at all my old pictures - and I have a lot of them. I just like this one and I hope my garden is as lush this year. I just planted my planters this afternoon - petunias as usual, but I also thru in some pansys - all different colors so there will be splashes of color all over - including my chairs.

A VISITOR
This picture was taken by Jason and Renee when they were up a couple of years ago. They spotted this bear wandering around the front of the house and took the pictures from the trailer. The bear was just curious and left as soon as he saw Jason and Renee. But the bear returned when we got back - that was the one I had my close encounter with. I think the same bear is around this year as one has been spotted close by and I saw that big pile of bear poop on the other trail. As long as he avoids people and people places, he should be good. I wear my bear bells and I make noises when I come out my front door.

PINK LADY SLIPPERS AKA TESTICLE PLANTS
There is a good crop again this year. They are everywhere. They are a sure sign of approaching summer weather, along with the bugs!!! But, along with the black flies and mosquitoes, the dragon flies also put in an appearance. Just when you think you can't take anymore bugs, the dragon flies swoop thru the air and alleviate some of the swarms. The bats are also having a field day. The wet weather has ensured a good crop of bugs this year - last year we didn't have any - what a difference a year makes. Stacey and Sadie enjoying the view. Sadie has been shaved - she is a golden retriever with long silky blond hair. I think she looks like a lamb with her haircut. She likes it, too. And no fur balls on the floor. She enjoys going for walks with me on the trails - she leads the way and always stops and looks back to make sure I am coming. Sometimes I hide behind trees just to see her face - she usually runs back to find me. One day I will have my own dog to walk the trails with me. One day...

LONLINESS OF THE LONG DISTANCE RUNNER
Stacey did a 26 mile training run today on the highway - I was her support team. Every couple of hours I would meet her along her route and bring her cold water and a banana and provide encouragement. I am practicing for her 100 miler in September where I will also be among her support team. It was very hot today, with full sun. I say hot because the temp was 86 degrees - I hear Windsor was almost 100!!! So she was happy she was here.
Here she is cooling her legs in the lake after her run. She said the lake was not really that cold - I told her to go out to the middle and then it would be cold.
She said she saw a cow moose and calf on her run but couldn't get a good picture because she was so far away from them.
Tonite Rejean and Ron and I will be going out fishing again. We were out last nite and got a bunch - we have enough for a fish fry tomorrow nite for Stacey and Andrew's company. You can't come up north and not have a good fish fry.
