WHAT A BUFFET!!

We all went to an all afternoon all you can eat and drink buffet at the Fairmont. It has ruined me for any other buffet I may go to. We got there at noon and finally left 4 pm. The selection was amazing. Seafood steak lamb chops Indian food Chinese food fresh breads salads scallops king crab legs mussels and the sweets. They had a chocolate fountain!! We had our own little corner all to ourselves. And the most amazing server. Gideon from the phillapines (?). I think I went up 5 times and I even had dessert. They even had a dish where there was something living in it!! We are all just relaxing now. And playing with the kids.

FINALLY HERE

Wow what a trip! 15 1/2 hours in the air and 6 hours of layovers but made it safe and sound and after a good nite's sleep I feel fine - after being up for 30 straight hours. Gotta go make formula...

ABU DHABI BOUND

Well we are all packed including the 27 pounds of baby stuff in a separate suitcase.  Just look at the weather we are heading into!!!  It could be the summer we never got here.  15 1/2 hours of flying to go see the kids - Charlie and Monty.
Rick and Joan have graciously offered to house sit for us which is greatly appreciated.  Not that anything will go wrong but you never know - and that dam beaver has been back around so Rick will have to keep an eye out for him.  We had a hard time talking Rick into doing this for us - you all know how he hates it up here.  But we worked at it and he finally agreed - in about 2 seconds!!!
I am so confused - we fly from Sault St Marie to Toronto then on to London and then on to Abu Dhabi - 3 sets of time zones to worry about.  I can feel the jet lag already.

But on a high note, I hear there is free booze on some of these flights….

See Ya Bye

ps - I will be blogging while there so it could be interesting.  It won't all be poopy diapers and toxic baby drool - we are going to be seeing the sights - we are scheduled to walk around the F1 race track with the kids in their stroller one evening.   I'll make sure they have their little helmets on - in case we hit the wall.

DAY TRIP TO HINKLER

It rained on the last weekend of the non-summer so we decided to take a ride up to Hinkler to check on the trailers.  We got a nice fire going, had a picnic and took a ride further up the road.  We came across a brand new bridge that was constructed in order to reopen a road that could not be accessed because somebody took out the bridge that had originally been there.  What a nice job they did.  It was sturdy and functional.  I am sure we will be crossing that bridge this fall for bird hunting.
I also liked the new handle on the outhouse at camp.  Tim did a great job.
It was a nice way to spend a cloudy, dreary day.

JUST CATCHING SOME RAYS

The kids had some jaundice and had to undergo some phototherapy.  It's funny but that is the same way I lie in the sun - with my hands under my head - must have got that from me ;o)
Everything was set up in Jodie's room in the hospital so she didn't have far to go to keep an eye on the kids.  Charlie and Monty are fine now and went home today with Jodie.

Now, the fun begins...

GUESS WHO

It's Charlie!!

Charlie's in red and Monty's in green - according to Dave.

I'm going to have to take his word for it...
